English 10: We will begin reading Animal Farm this week. The grading for this book is unusual because we are trying to capture the mood of the story. We will use either socialist or communist criteria for grading while the book is being read.
Literacy Development: We are reading two books, one novel and one non-fiction book about the civil war. The students have done some research, and we are hoping to learn a lot about the civil war.
English Literacy: We are wrapping up our project from the novel Monster. We will be reading some non-fiction beginning tomorrow.
The purpose of this blog is to provide information for my students and their parents. I will also be adding links to some of the sites that I visit regularly.

February 4th
English 10 students are finishing their world-changer projects. The two-page paper is due by Friday. It should be submitted electronically. The presentations will begin on Thursday.
Literacy Development is working on an article about thin ice on Lake Minnetonka and reading Wringer.
English Literacy is reading the same article and reading Monster.
